10 Highlights from the 2023 Annual Meeting

On July 29, 2023, representatives from our region’s churches met at the Appalachian Advent Christian Campground in Blowing Rock, NC for this year’s annual meeting. 

1. Sam Walsh (Princeton AC Church, WV) is the new regional VP
2. The cabin project is awaiting additional surveys, hopefully to be done in September 2023, in order to proceed
3. Rob and Pam Buchanan will be retiring from their role as campground managers at the end of 2023
4. The camp management committee will assume responsibilities for campground care and development
5. Camp ACCOVAC will celebrate 75 years of camp ministry the weekend of August 25-26, 2023
6. Central AC Church (VA) celebrates their 85th anniversary this year
7. App Region WHFMS celebrates their 75th anniversary this year
8. A new youth workers’ retreat was held in April 2023 and a new student leaders’ retreat (for high school and college students) is in the works 
9. Over 200 delegates are signed up to participate in the Triennial Convention (August 7-11)
10. A hardback Maranatha anthology will be released at the Triennial Convention, marking the end of the monthly publication
